OK, OK, I admit...

Alright, I admit, the news posted earlier today was a hoax, it was bogus... I apologize from everyone who relentlessly called our news center today and were outraged by this news. Although this might hurt my credibility in the future, I want you guys to stick with me and believe in my blog.

In an unrelated story, Michael Jackson is acquitted of all charges. Weak prosecution always equals to acquittal in many cases. I didn't believe he would go to jail, one minute... I wonder whether the one in 1993 was real. Maybe this wasn't real; maybe that is why Michael went to court for this one instead of settling it.

AVIS renting suicide car bombs to willing Iraqis?

As of today, AVIS in Baghdad started renting suicide car bombs to Iraqis. Budget, Hertz, and others are expected to follow suit. The cars AVIS currently gives for rent include a secret compartment for explosives, an AC, CD/Tape player, and four wheel drive. The rents are said to be expensive. While AVIS CEO stated that there was no concern for alarm, this policy is surely going to raise a lot of red flags from the Feds. Time will tell if a lawsuit is imminent.

China Trip

Well, China... What can I say? Shall I start with people spitting on the floor, or salespeople who touch you and try to sell you overpriced stuff? I was glad to see Mao's memorial hall, where you can see his face frozen in time. Tiananmen square is huge, and so is the Great Wall of China at Badaling. Ming Tombs, Summer Palace, and the Forbidden City were other great sites to visit. I also had a chance to meet up with Eirik and his couple of Norwegian friends.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas was a lot of fun, we also saw the Grand Canyon (The northern rim). I took some pictures and videos, but the videos taken with my cell phone is terrifyingly dismal. On another note, I have now passed my qualifier for Ph.D. If everything goes well, I will be graduating in December.
