Hans Zimmer - why is he a genius?
I think it is because his music not only embraces the movie, but also adds something to it. I went to see Batman Begins a couple of weeks ago, and was enchanted by the soundtrack. I should have known it was from Hans Zimmer - Moloccus is ilar to his exemplary work in Backdraft and Crimson Tide. They say there are no Mahlers or Mozarts anymore, but I think that is statistically impossible. We need to try to look closer.

Bah, all this Hollywood film music is sugar-coated Wagner or pop Dvorak or watered-down Debussy. :)
It would be if it weren't for the synths :)
