Ridley Scott

In Ridley Scott's movies, one commonly sees non-human witnesses to murder. Some examples:

- When the Alien kills its first victim, a cat watches them (Alien, 1979).

- When Roy Batty kills his maker, Dr. Tyrell, a robotic owl watches them (Blade Runner, 1982).

- When Commodus kills his father, Marcus Aurelius, a bust (of a Caesear, perhaps?) is watching them (Gladiator, 2000).
